Bonus: Some of my favorite characters in Virtua Fighter 5 REVO

Now that the review-vital stuff is out of the way, I want to talk about the point that actually makes VF so fun and so rewarding to return to. That’s the characters, and how well-defined they are. I get that they don’t have the lore and story modes that other fighting game characters do, but to know them (their gameplay) is to love them.
I am a chronic main-switcher. It's a real problem for me competitively– if I had to play a SF6 tournament right now I'd be a little fuzzy on my Chun-Li– but I love these games I always want to experience more and more out of them and give every character a serious try. It feels like a waste not to. And as VF5 has been re-released quite a few times now, I've tried a lot of characters from the ground up and worked to basic competency. This list is not necessarily a list of those characters, but a few of them are.
