Talking Otakon on Anime World Order podcast with Ogiue Maniax (Carl)

Heads up cause I'm way too busy to ever do my own podcast, probably

Talking Otakon on Anime World Order podcast with Ogiue Maniax (Carl)

While I continue to work on my Otakon 2022 report— I know, a little late— I thought I’d let you know that I was on the Anime World Order podcast for the first time recently along with my co-panelist and dear friend Carl of Ogiue Maniax. The AWO gang are longtime convention buddies, but this is the first time I’ve actually been on the show. It was both pleasure and a privilege to talk through Otakon and also the anime business’ major news story of the week, Crunchyroll’s acquisition of fan favorite anime retailer/publisher RightStuf.

Unlike AWO, I do not have a RightStuf sponsorship, which is to say you can trust me even more when I say that if you’re buying English-language anime/manga you should really be buying it from RightStuf. Best in the game, and it’s not close. (Whether this continues to hold true is another matter.)

While you’re here, upcoming on the newsletter are my Otakon report (aforementioned), my impressions on Monster Hunter Sunbreak (much as you can call it “impressions” when I’m already Master Rank 50+), and my thoughts on the now-completed first season of my recent fave anime that I won’t stop harassing my friends to watch, Birdie Wing. I’m also seeing the new Dragon Ball movie this week so expect to hear something about that eventually. Hope to see you soon!
