What do we know about the connections between GQux and Gundam? A Missing Persons Investigation

(There’s no video release for Beginning, so I am running a bit off memory of a movie I saw last week. I will get things wrong; forgive me.)

GQux Beginning wants to fit its whole alternate One Year War onto film, but as it only has so much time and follows Char directly for most of its running time, it has to hint at things. But Mobile Suit Gundam is a pretty long and dense series, so there’s a lot to hint at. I want to go through the things I was thinking in the theater and after the movie.

And on that note, there is no way I will catch everything that Beginning implied. I couldn’t even look up some of the Zeon pilots referenced!
